City staff, Xcel Energy, and Denver Water will be available tonight to answer community’s questions on data centers. Please note, that the company CoreSite will no longer be participating (at their request) and said neighbors can email questions to CoreSite at commun...@coresite.com.
Did you hear about the data center moratorium and future policy changes?
Yesterday, I joined Mayor Johnston and Council Member Kashmann in introducing a temporary data center moratorium. This proposal would pause new data center applications while the City reviews and updates zoning, energy use, water impacts, and community protections.
This is a necessary step to fully understand the impact data centers have on communities like Globeville, Elyria, Swansea, Clayton, and other District 9 neighborhoods.
