Land Exchange Notification

GES Community Members,

We are writing to inform you of a land exchange between Western Stock Show Association (WSSA) and the City and County of Denver.

As part of this exchange:

  • The City is receiving 8-acres of land on Brighton Blvd north of the former DPS Bus Barn, which like the DPS Bus Barn, includes areas of historic urban fill that require remediation.
  • WSSA will receive a 1-acre remnant parcel along National Western Drive South, north of the campus Central Utility Plant, also referred to CUP North.

No funds are involved in the exchange. Please see the graphic below for a map of the parcel locations.

While the opportunities for future uses of this land are exciting, we recognize that remediation is the first priority. We will be working on funding strategies and will keep you informed as progress continues.

We look forward to including this area in upcoming Triangle Community Vision Plan discussions, and your input will be essential in shaping these spaces. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me. In the meantime, visit www.denvergov.org/nationalwesterncenter for more information on the Triangle Community Vision Plan process. Thank you!

¡Gracias!
