Greetings All,

After an amazingly successful Harvest Festival at Marvin Gaye Greening Center this past Saturday, Parks & People would like to invite you to our final Harvest event of the season tonight on the Green! Details below:

Día de Los Muertos Procession & Dedication Ceremony - Tuesday, Nov. 1st - 6pm

Parks & People will be joined by GALA Hispanic Theatre, Wide Open Writing (WOW), and Black spoken word artist Jörgen UNOM JG for a special procession and ceremony in celebration of life, community, and the diverse cultures who have made this hilltop home for 1,000 generations. The costumed music and dance procession, led by GALA's Paso Nuevo youth group, will leave GALA Hispanic Theatre at 5:30pm and proceed to Columbia Heights Green for the ceremony and liberation fire circle. The procession and celebration are free and welcome to all.

Everyone, the procession will assemble at 14th and Park starting at 5, and it will arrive at the Green at 6. All are invited and welcome to join, and to bring an image of a loved one whose life you want to celebrate by placing on the altar at the Green.
