Greetings Urban Farmers,

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday last week!

We'll be back gardening at the Green tomorrow from 11:30am to 1:30pm. Tasks will include:

Removing spent summer crops
Remove crops affected by powdery mildew
Create raised beds inside hoop house
Weeding

Stop by if you can!

'Seasons in 7' Winter Solstice Celebration & Tree Lighting Ceremony - Thursday, Dec 15th - 5pm

The Winter Solstice, which is on December 21st, is when we have our shortest day and longest night of the year- marking the first official day of winter. Seasons in 7 is an opportunity for Ward 7 residents to come together to celebrate this changing of season, as well as make a commitment to Peace in the new year. We will be lighting the Peace Tree, which was planted by Parks & People staff and volunteers over 15 years ago and is now standing at almost 40 feet tall! Festive music and warm drinks will also be provided! This event is FREE for all!
