Meet 9:30, Toes in 9:45

We will group up just west of the finish line near the amphitheater. Note that the Turkey Trot will affect traffic and parking. Just do the run before you swim, it will simplify things. Ambitious swimmers can swim around the pier, while others may just head out past the breakers and back.

I run for Team Austin Bice - see below for information.  

We invite all to join Team Austin Bice on Thanksgiving morning for the Oceanside Turkey Trot!   Team Austin Bice has won the team category the last two years, including 461 team members in 2012!  There is a choice of a 5K run/walk, a 5 mile run or you can do both!  In addition, there are kids races for all ages!   All team members receive a very special long-sleeve Team Austin Bice shirt!  

Team Austin Bice was formed in 2011.  Austin, a former ViaSat intern, was an International Business major at San Diego State University.  While on a study abroad program in Madrid, Spain, Austin’s life came to a tragic end.   The Oceanside Turkey Trot will contribute $5 of your entry fee to the Austin Bice Memorial Scholarship Fund.  The scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors who will attend San Diego State University and exhibit similar scholarship and leadership traits that demonstrate the moral and ethical values displayed by Austin.  The fund raising is wonderful, but the part Austin would have appreciated most is all the families and friends who come together to enjoy being with one another.
