We know many of you feel as uncertain as we do about what the next few years hold for us, our communities, and the planet. The Better Path Coalition and Pennsylvania Climate Convergence organizers have teamed up with our partners at No False Climate Solutions PA to offer a special series of Better Path Presents webinars we’re calling Navigating What’s Next. The series is intended to provide useful information and spark discussions about how we can continue to do our work while protecting ourselves and each other.
Knowing Your Rights is the first installment of the series. Solomon Worlds, ACLU Staff Attorney, will provide the review of our rights in a special 90 minute webinar on December 18th at 4 p.m. Register at bit.ly/bpprights.
Solomon Furious Worlds (they/them) is a Staff Attorney with the ACLU of Pennsylvania, based in Philadelphia, and focuses on policing, search & seizure issues, protest rights, free speech rights, and obtaining government records. Before that, they represented immigrant children who came to America without an adult in Michigan. Throughout their career, Solomon has advocated/organized in support of LQBTQ+ rights, Black liberation, disability justice, Palestinian liberation, sexual assault survivors, and prison abolition. They graduated from the University of Michigan Law School with a J.D. and earned two bachelor's degrees - in saxophone performance and social psychology - from the University of Iowa.
