John Keel, 79, the Grand Old Man of all things Fortean, has been
admitted to a NYC hospital.
Keel is said to be very frail and weak and is suffering from
complications of diabetes. He cannot walk and is not in good shape at
all. His prognosis is uncertain. Considered the "Dean" of modern-day
Forteans, Keel has had thoughts and commentaries on just about
everything "strange" under the sun and is known worldwide,
particularly for his concepts of
"Ultraterrestrials" (interdimensionals) , "window" or portal areas
providing entrance or egress points to and from our own "reality"
plane, and for his ground-breaking reporting of the West Virginia
"Mothman" flap of the 1960s.

If Keel goes---as could well be possible---we Forteans should all be
saddened at his passing, as he will leave QUITE a pair of near-
legendary shoes to fill. I would ask that thoughts and prayers be
directed his way. This old Icon had a touch-and-go stay in the
hospital several years ago and made it through.
Let's hope he can pull it off again.

Latest word on John Keel is that the doctors in NYC are working to
"stabilize his condition" so that HE CAN GO HOME!!!
SONUVAGUN! This old rascal is tough as boot leather! He can LOOK like
he's at death's door and then he can rally and make a come-back. NEVER
count him out!!!
