Special Tool & Engineering is a full service supplier offering engineering, design and complete tool manufacturing. We produce tooling for the automotive, household appliances, office equipment, electronics and packaging industries.
The technical certificate is a one-year program. Graduates will possess the knowledge and skills needed to program, tool and operate CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) mills and lathes. For graduates wanting to continue their education, certificate courses satisfy many of the requirements of the Computerized Machine Tool Engineering AAS degree program.
The associate of applied science degree is an accelerated one and a half year program that contains technical and general education courses. The Associate of Applied Science degree contains technical and general education courses and can be completed with one additional semester of training. The advanced technical portion of this course is taught in the summer. Graduates will possess the knowledge and skills needed to program, tool and operate CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) mills and lathes, as well as the ability to draw and program in Mastercam.
FHTC students who complete an Associate of Applied Science degree in Computerized Machine Tool Engineering may be eligible to utilize a 2+2 agreement with the following institutions to further their education.
