clarification? (Just to avoid confusing my knowledge of the base
Eberron material with your changes within this game)

Have you altered the structure of the Dragonmarked Houses? By that I
mean by the books Cannith is a human only House just as Kundarak is
dwarf only etc. I noticed a lot of the party dropping "d'Cannith" as
part of their name and was just clarifying whether or not the Houses
were basically more like open guilds or the insular Dragonmarked
families the book describes.

It is a mild alteration to be sure, but yes. I am still keeping to the
fact that the house is run and consists primarily of the dragonmarked
families, but individuals can gain some lower ranks within a house
without being related and with the rank comes the privilege of being
able to use "de <house>" as part of your name.

So... in many ways like a guild, yes... but there is a definite glass
ceiling for you if you are not part of the family.
