Hi everyone (bcc’ing most folk),
Welcome to the new term. To remind you, we’ve got the first full Norfolk CAS Hub meeting on the 12th Oct at 4:30pm at the UEA. (Vic, John, Rudy – are you still OK to host?)
I’ve got two things on the agenda so far but would like hear more suggestions – particularly any teachers who have snippets of good practice they would like to share:
·
How we should organise the Norfolk CAS Hub and particularly details of the competition we agreed to run to launch the hub. I’m busy getting some prizes together
for the competition (I’m hoping to get someone to give me us some iPad2’s – wish me luck!) and Rudy, you volunteered to think through the actual topic for the competition.
· I thought it might be a good idea to do a quick overview of Scratch as it seems very popular. I’m happy to do this but would much rather someone else took it on as I’m by no means a Scratch expert (volunteers please email me!!).
Also please make sure you’re telling everyone else in your school and partner schools about the meeting and about the Norfolk CAS Hub Google Group (http://groups.google.com/group/norfolk-cas-hub). To remind you, we’re targeting all heads of Maths and ICT and the more the merrier. Seb – do you think it’s worth sending out another reminder to them via your lists?
CAS lists its meetings on Eventbrite so you should receive meeting details and an invite from there (http://www.eventbrite.com/org/1208493651?s=5341202) and, again, please pass these on to anyone who might be interested.
Look forward to seeing you all on the 12th.
cheers
Neil

Hi all (BCC’ing most folks),
We’ve got the first proper CAS Hub meeting at the UEA next Weds 12th Oct at 4:30pm.
We’ve got a few folks registered but if you’re planning to come along could you register at http://casnorfolkteachers2.eventbrite.com/ so we can track names, contact details and so on. Alternatively, just drop me an email to let me know you’re coming along.
Also – we’re a bit light on numbers so if you know of anyone who might be interested but may not yet have heard about CAS, please pass this on. The more the merrier!!
Rudy, John, Vic – thanks for confirming UEA is still OK to host. Can you please let us know what we should be doing for car parking at the UEA?
Thanks
