[East Bay Historical Fencing]

Hello Everyone,

It is great to see so many new people joining our fencing group and with many new people come many new questions, particularly about Gear. What to get, what is good, where to buy, etc. Below are linked categories that we [EBHF] recommend for starting out.

Links will lead to Purple Heart Armory and HEMA Supplies. These suppliers have similar items or the same with varying prices. Other websites may carry what I have linked below, but I won't post them all here for brevity.

Masks: Any fencing mask will do, however we insist purchasing a mask that has back of the head protection as part of the whole mask. ex: AF Deluxe

Light practice gloves or Heavy Gloves, or with more thumb protection Heavier Gloves for full contact.

Sword

Anyone still on the fence about investing in their own gear, please continue to donate $5 ever practice so EBHF can maintain and purchase club gear. Club gear has been quite limited and worn recently.
