Saturday March 8

Total of 8 patrollers in 3 teams patrolling from Paradise.  Team 1 did make-up annual training.

Nice sunny afternoon with mostly hard snow conditions.  

SAR

• Patrollers Lawrence, Woolf, Jorgenson, Tseytlin and 2 rangers left at 5:00pm to base of Pan Face and transported subject in litter back to the Paradise lot.  Two patrollers (Hobbs, Arden) held in reserve at Paradise.
• 2nd SAR near Muir.  Nordic was used as an available resource by IC but was never deployed.

Sunday March 9

Longmire gate closed to the public due to lack of ranger resources (see 2nd SAR above).  Total of 8 patrollers in 3 teams got up to paradise on Admin traffic.  We informed campers of the road closure.  Provided a wellness check to a dog in a vehicle at the Paradise lot as directed by rangers.   We broke down a large compound of snow caves left by a Mountaineers group.  The caves appeared abandoned but the group came back at the end of the day to break them down themselves.
