Thanks to patrollers Jon B., Ray C. and Hugh G. for patrolling today. Road opened on time. Snow started falling around Narada Falls and continued off and on during the day. Avoided the rain at Paradise today!
Work done: Mazama pole was installed and the two signs closest to Canyon Wye were also put in. We did a PSAR-focused patrol after lunch up towards Pan Face. Pan Face looked very wind scoured and as we got higher the winds picked up along with more snow. It was warm, right around freezing all day. The X-poles in the creekbed above Edith Basin were falling over. We fixed one pair but the other (see photo) appeared to have running water under them and were deemed unsafe to approach.
Visitation was moderate. Tacoma Mountain Rescue had a big group up doing snow anchor training along the valley road. No known SARs or other major incidents.
House has plenty of toilet paper but could use cleaning wipes.
Think snow!

One pole is visible, the other is not. The opening next to them had running water and from our vantage point (on the right) it appeared to be underneath the poles. these two poles were not touched.
