Daily Logs attached.

Highlights:
  • Small teams, only 5 patrollers Saturday and 4 on Sunday.
  • Rainy, wet and cold. Thus fewer visitors than usual. Still plenty of PSAR and no significant incidents.
  • Reset all of the poles.
  • Filled both vehicles with gas.
  • Climbing Rangers are returning and need the Expedition during the week and some weekends. The Expedition and keys are now left at the EOC Sunday afternoon. Keys hang on a hook in the Winter Tech's room adjacent to the conference room. It will be available to us sometimes but don't count on it every weekend. From the preliminary schedule that I saw we won't have access to it next weekend, March 14/15. Stayed tuned for more info from Ed.
  • Internet is back on at Nisqually House.
  • Delivered (and used!) toilet cleaning supplies, per Sid's request.
  • The house was completely out of Daily Patrol Log forms. The next lead should print some to take.
  • There are plenty of an older revision of the Equipment Checkout forms but none of the newest version. Just use the old one for now.
  • We are down to 9 radios. One of those is flagged with blue tape after a patroller reported difficulty transmitting and receiving several weeks ago. I tried it out briefly at the house and it seemed to work fine. If you are so inclined you could take it out on the next patrol as a second radio and try it out. If not I can do that in two weeks.
  • A travel observation: the snow bridges in upper Edith Creek Basin are melting out. Use extra caution if you want to do the Edith Basin to base of Pan Pt route.
  • Snow depth on Stevens Canyon Road near the lake was 150cm (59in or 5ft). Snow depth at the lake surface was 85cm (33inches, 2.8ft)
