Greetings,

The University at Buffalo’s IGERT in GIScience (a multidisciplinary
graduate program) is hosting a conference in Buffalo, NY May 12-15,
2010 titled Representing Reality: Imagery in the Cognitive, Natural
and Social Sciences. We currently have a wide variety of presenters
from universities across the country and would like to invite your
graduate students and faculty to attend. The conference is open to
any type of research involving imagery, including but not limited to
remote sensing, medical imaging, imagery perception, archaeological
imagery, auditory imagery, mental imagery, cognition of images, use of
imagery in the natural and built environments, and sensor technology.

The keynote speaker for the conference is Dr. Mark Fonstad (Texas
State University) who will be speaking on The Light Fantastic:
GIScience and the Representation of Riverscapes. Dr. Fonstad
currently serves as the Environmental Sciences Associate Editor for
the Annals of the Association of American Geographers.

This conference is an excellent opportunity for students and faculty
in any discipline to share their work with scholars they may not
encounter otherwise.
