The Greenhouse Center for Environmental Humanities at the University of Stavanger, Norway, is launching a new Masters in Public Environmental Humanities from Fall 2026. This is an exciting and unique 2-year program that combines research and practice to study environmental issues through a humanities lens, including history, literature, art history, and museum studies. A key feature of the program is that students will do a semester-long internship that includes developing a public-facing component based on their own research.
Our masters program tuition is free for all students from the EU/EEA/Switzerland.
Students with a bachelor's degree in any humanities or social science field are eligible. Registration for the program is open at different dates for different students, so we encourage students to be mindful of these short registration windows:
