It is cotton knit so good for Southern California nights. I plan to order it in black also. The knit is slightly chunkier than I thought it would be, so it doesn't pack down small enough to slip into a purse, but I am keeping it anyway. I normally love pockets., but these are a little awkward and don't lie flat. The light pink is a very subtle, sophisticated color. I am not sure how durable the sweater will be as the knit looks like it will be prone to snags, but so far, so good."
