I can walk forever in these and I don't need my orthotics. "I developed an extremely painful case of plantar faciitis about two years ago. These shoes absolutely saved my life. I bought this pair and another Finnamic sandal and rotated them daily, interspersing them for a few hours a day with a Birkenstock. I went from walking short distances on a cane, in PAIN, to walking almost normally within hours of wearing this sandal. It took almost a year for the condition to fully subside, but these shoes healed me. I figured the expense of even more painful injections that have no longterm benefit (the only real medical treatment for plantar faciitis) made the price of these shoes cheap. I LOVE them and wear them at least three or four times a week now that my foot has healed. I consider this shoe my foot vitamins. [NOTE: Choose by fit, not by your regular size.
