Kork-Ease 'Velma' Bootie

I have wanted these boots for months, and tried ordering several times (and once ordered an 8, which was too large and had to be returned) only to find that they were out of stock. When Nordie's finally got them in (and sent me an email to alert me) I was on it!

I ordered the 7.5 in the Meteor Gray, which, as others have pointed out is really a taupe. I like the color, the style and the overall fit of these shoes. So far I've only worn them with skinny jeans but will likely also wear with leggings - and maybe with a skirt, I just haven't tried that out yet.

They are easy to slip on and off - I had seen some reviews from women who said they had a hard time getting the shoe on and that just hasn't been my experience at all. Maybe ladies with wider feet have a more difficult time - I have pretty 'normal' width feet and while the toe box seemed tight-ish at first (though not painful-tight) the leather has stretched and everything fits just as it should. There really was no 'breaking in' period required at all.

I am generally between a 7.5 and a 8, and usually buy a 7.5. As I mentioned the 8 was too big (mostly too loose in the ankle - and though I am slim, I don't have super tiny ankles). The 7.5 fit perfectly and to be honest, I may have been able to fit into a 7 but I didn't want to risk it. The 7.5 is roomy but not overly so.

The thing that surprised me was the insole or footbed. I wore these without socks a couple of times and it seems like this boot has the kind of footbed that 'molds' to your foot, which was really nice. I think I actually prefer wearing these boots without socks because of this, though of course I will usually wear socks (thin ones) to preserve the interior of the shoe. Overall, this was a great purchase! The boots are hip and comfortable, I like the color (though, really, Kork-Ease - just call it taupe!) and customer service and shipping were very good. I used live chat a couple of times with customer service to check on various things and found the representatives to be very helpful and courteous, which was nice!

I'm very happy that I purchased Kork-Ease 'Velma' Bootie , in fact I purchased several. Could it be really worth the money? In my opinion it truly is. A homerun on the price!

"I LOVE THESE BOOTS!! The soles are SOOO comfortable. The first couple times I wore them I got blisters on my ankles, which is weird because they were extremely comfortable, but they're still my favorite pair of Chelsea boots I have!"

Kork-Ease 'Velma' Bootie Reviews

"This boot makes me so happy. I usually can't wear an 11 but some reviews said it ran a little long, and it does because it fits. I usually wear a narrow but some reviews said it ran narrow so I took a chance. It does, because it fits. Really well. And it is comfortable. And the leather matches all the way around. I tried a pair of Sam Edelman's Petty boot in a 12 and it was huge and the leather didn't match front to back so it looked ugly, This boot is perfect. I can't stop looking at them."
