Eileen Fisher Slouchy Tapered Pants (Regular & Petite) (Online Only)I was a little hesitant to try these on in the store. I shy away from elastic waists with pockets (and in this case pleats) because I am self conscious of my tummy area. Well, I stand in awe of these pants. They make me look like I just lost 5 pounds. The material is soft and so comfortable that they feel like pajamas yet can be dressed for almost any occasion. They are thin, so I doubt I will wear them in winter. They are also slim legged and cropped on me. I am 5'2" and the PP reaches just above my ankles. I'm not sure why they are called 'slouchy' since they are more fitted on me and really one step from leggings. I guess a larger size would be looser but I really love the ones I bought. Eileen Fisher Slouchy Tapered Pants (Regular & Petite) (Online Only) Reviews"This is my third pair of these pants. High on comfort. You can take them anywhere. I wear them all year in SF. The length is great for someone 5'4". I can put boots or booties over them and in the summer they're great with flats or sandals. I wash all but one pair which I dry clean and wear for nicer occasions. Washing makes them look more like lounge pants--expensive lounge pants, but they last and last. Dry cleaning keeps them looking acceptable for dinner out or most social events or teaching which I do. Not a dressy pant, although under layers, who really knows? They run large, but not for EF. They are much more flattering than you would think." |
