Not too heavy and bulky, but great for our Bay Area weather. It has a very nice fabric, soft, and comfortable. I accidentally got mascara on it, and with just a spot cleaning with a little make-up remover, it came out with no stain. I had been concerned about spots because of the pale background in the design, but I think it will wear and wash nicely. So far, I am very pleased.
