PUMA 'Faas 100' Running Shoe (Men) I just ran a full marathon in these shoes. I was able to complete it nearly an hour faster than last year, and with almost no pain or soreness afterward. I attribute this, in no small part, to the cushioning of this shoe. Especially the forefoot cushioning. I switched to this shoe for the marathon because I felt that the cushioning would maintain its comfort level even into the long miles, and help lessen the pain in my hips, legs, and feet that comes with the constant pounding of the pavement for hours at a time. And I was right. This shoe was as comfortable at mile 26 as it was at mile 1. I did not feel any of that jarring pain that comes with lesser-cushioned shoes. Spring-y, but not sponge-y. The stability was also more than adequate considering all the cushioning. I am also a very big fan of the lacing system, as I have a chronically bad habit of tying my shoes too tight. The everfit lace system eliminates that for me. I've also run a couple of 5Ks, and the slightly extra weight has not had a negative effect on my times. In terms of quality, they are in just as good of shape after the marathon as before. In summary, no post long run pain and no negative effects on times makes for one very satisfied runner.
