Allen Edmonds 'Mora' Double Monk Shoe (Men)I just want to let you know that I ordered these in brown. I am a 9.5 on the 5(65) Last and these are a little wider in the middle of the foot and a little more narrow in the toe box.
The quality of the leather has been great. I have worn them 6 months and there are two minor creases. One in the cap and one above the cap. I have kept shoe trees in them and the creasing is what I would deem normal among calfskin shoes. I have had no peeling or cracking, the brown is a beautiful, high quality leather. I get at least three or four compliments every time I wear them Individuals need to keep yourself informed that the critical reviews you see for the Allen Edmonds 'Mora' Double Monk Shoe (Men). In the begin I believed I don't "required" I would like it. Just Fantastic Product! take a look In Acion. "I was fitted for 9.5, but for these shoes, I found out that 8.5EEE fits perfectly and it looks great. If I got a 9.5, it'd look TOO LONG and SILLY. This was my mistake when I purchased a 9.5D Norwich. The shoe was very long and narrow, and it caused me great discomfort (even more than one toe injuries). The people at AE were quite gracious: They let me return my Norwich shoes, and with my 50% credit, I bought these shoes.
The Neumonk is beautiful, like the Norwich. However the Neumonk is much more bold. PLEASE TRY ONE SIZE SMALLER THAN WHAT YOU WERE FITTED FOR, AND ALSO TRY THE WIDE VERSIONS OF THE SHOES AS WELL!" Allen Edmonds 'Mora' Double Monk Shoe (Men) Reviews"The Mora 2.0 double monkstraps are my third pair of AEs, and they are my new favorites. The fit is great (very similar to #5 last) and the monkstrap functionality works very well, but the best thing about the shoe is the construction quality and bourbon color.
I've owned the shoes for nearly 6 months now, and the shoes still look new. I wear them 2-3 times per week on average, and I use shoe trees whenever I can. I see myself wearing these shoes for years to come.
I've received a good amount of compliments on the shoes and the color. This obviously isn't the goal of owning shoes nor is it the best determination of shoe quality, but it's fun to hear nonetheless. The bourbon is roughly halfway in-between walnut and brown burnished calf, and I find it to be the most versatile. I wear them with gray, khaki, taupe,
and navy slacks. It's also possible to wear these with dark-wash jeans or chinos. One thing to note is that the bourbon shoe polish is too light for the shoe, so I use one pass of bourbon then one pass of black to return the scuff to the original color. Absolutely recommended!" |
