Wednesday March 30th

Cesar Chavez March in Sacramento

• Report back from Action
• Julio was the only person representing us as contingent.
• Video footage from the march was taken.
• Students spoke about AB540 Students so our demands were represented.

• Fundraiser report back
• Wasn’t able to make sales due to the lack of assistance and the poor weather.

• Fundraiser opportunity at San Jose City College
• Hand Across California April-9th  10am-6pm
• Jose will the point person for this

• We will be selling buttons, doing face painting and if possible Julio will donate items that we can sell.

April 4th - Day of Action with Wisconsin workers and against budget cuts and Union Busting

We will form Immigrant contingent to show solidarity and unite the struggles behind the Student, Immigrant and Labor movement.

April 18th- Day of Action for Ethnic Studies
Napa

• In SJSU there will be a Teach-In and a guest speaker. More information will be sent out by Sandra

• Have Teach-In in public Area (Ethnic Studies from the class’s perspective) Different block of students will explain why Ethnic Studies are important for them.

May 1st -Int'l workers day
We wanna see if it make sense to organize another Summit and Action after May 1st. Everyone check when your school semester or Quarter ends and when its finals weeks

This are some ideas we had to improve May 1st:

• Live Theater
• Satire/Flash mob
• Marching ropes and chains.
• Bandanna around mouth.
• Tye budget cuts with legalization
• Giant paper mache symbol/ or puppet
• Could be burned at the end of the march
• A squatter that stole this land/European
