On March 11 at 5 PM MEChxA de UC Berkeley is hosting a planning meeting
for the scheduled April 8th Dream Action at the state capitol in Sacramento. This is a follow-up planning meeting scheduled in order to implement the democratic decisions made at the Mobilizing DREAM Summit II held at De Anza College on Feb. 13th.
On April 8th our message to Sacramento is simple: let’s not let California become another Arizona (already various counties in the state are drafting legislation along the lines of SB1070). We demand the protection of ethnic studies, full legalization of AB540 students and the legalization of all our communities! No Raids and No Deportations! Papers for All!
In order to win our demands and fend off the attacks that continue to repress our communities we must continue to mobilize! This is the purpose of this meeting.
The meeting’s location is in the Chinquapin room in the Martin Luther King building at UC Berkeley (on the corner of Telegraph and Bancroft). When: Friday, March 11th at 5pm.
