Hello guys.
I received a message yesterday from Steven Payan. He was able to get about 2 minutes for our coalition to speak for the march. Since I haven't heard back from anyone that will be able to volunteer, I am taking initiative since I am going to tabling for our group and selling crafts. If anyone else is able to come I would encourage you to come up with me to speak.
I do not want the group to feel that I am taking this opportunity for myself.
here is what I will talk about:
I am thinking of going along the lines of a "No Cuts to Education/Dream Act Speech" I gave at Napa Valley College:
*We are students, we want Legalization for us students, and for families, colleagues, and workers.
*We oppose cuts to education and want Ethnic Studies to remain--Education is our liberation.
Educación no guerra y ocupación.
*We demand that Arizona's banning of ethnic studies be repealed (Arizona HB2281)
*We want a comprehensive National Dream Act. That is inclusive and does not turn our students into tools for our military.
If you have any input please send it my way.
