Update on December Tournament Preference Submissions

Thank you to all of you for your patience while we work out the confirmation of the December events!

I am happy to report that we have 5 "December" events identified - 3 are fully confirmed.

• 11/16 - The Play Space, San Jose (confirmed - reschedule of 11/1)
• 11/23 - The Play Space, San Jose (not fully confirmed)
• 12/6   - The Play Space, San Jose (confirmed)
• 12/13 - The Play Space, San Jose (not fully confirmed)
• 12/14 - The Play Space, San Jose (confirmed)

A big thank you is owed to the hosts that are working with us and scrambling to reschedule and to add/confirm events!

If you notice, all of these are at Playing at Learning's offices in San Jose.  This is not ideal.  We need the community (that means all of you) to step up to identify new sites. Our building is just barely adequate and the teams' experience suffers if the weather is poor.

What comes next?

We are going to open up the "December" preference submission window with all of the events above.

If the two events that are not fully confirmed don't finalize before we need to process the submissions, we will mark them as having no capacity, preventing any team from being assigned to them.  If you include them in your preference list, there is no risk of being assigned to them if they don't get confirmed.

If they change status to confirmed after preference assignments are completed, we will add them back into the events available for subsequent registrations.

Timeline

• 10/22 @ 10am December preference submission open (initial event only)
• 10/27 @ noon December preference submissions close - assignments processed before 5pm
• 10/27 @ 5pm December initial event direct registration opens
