All,
a handful of updates, mostly related to the NorCal FTC Regional Championship!!
Congratulations to the 64 teams that have earned the opportunity to participate in the NorCal FTC Regional Championship! You can see the list of teams at: https://ftc-events.firstinspires.org/2025/USCANOCMP
During the event, the above link will also provide "real time" rankings/match results/etc. throughout the day. We will also be streaming the event via YouTube. Links for the streams (one per division) will be shared closer to the tournament! Watch for an email here on the Google Group with the YouTube stream links!
All teams that are advancing have a couple of immediate, important tasks to take care of: paying for the championship & filling out the judging/inspection availability form.
The payment link is now live in each advancing team's team status page, accessible through the team list at: https://www.norcalftc.org/norcal-ftc-team-list-new/
An event the size of the NorCal FTC Regional Championship needs MANY volunteers. Regardless of your team's attendance, please consider volunteering to help make this event a successful end-of-season celebration!
To volunteer, visit out events page at: https://www.playingatlearning.org/events/norcalftc-ct-2025-2026/. There is a description at the bottom of the page that includes many of the needed roles. Links to the event in FIRST's volunteer management system are towards the top of the page!
For all teams advancing to the regional championship, we need you to have one of your coaches go to https://form.jotform.com/260408392065153 and fill out the judging/inspection availability form.
In order to get through all the matches that are needed to support 64 teams, we need to get as many teams as possible (i.e almost ALL) through inspection and judging on Saturday afternoon/evening.
Please fill out the form as quickly as possible and mark the maximum availability for your team!
We are exploring using FTC Nexus to help with team queuing and broadcast announcements throughout the event. With the large number of teams, we need to make sure there are no delays in match starts throughout the tournament.
We are looking for one or more volunteers willing to help read through the documentation for the service (it is a cloud-based, free service) to help understand what is needed from our side to support working with FTC Nexus.
If you are willing to help understand the package and assist in its implementation for our championship, please send an email to f...@playingatlearning.org
The website for FTC Nexus is: https://ftc.nexus.
There is a set of guides at: https://guides.frc
That's all for today!
Watch for more updates early next week!!!
