Spike Essential and Spike Prime

For FLL Explore in California (Play at Learning events), do teams need to stick only to SPIKE Essential, or is it okay to use SPIKE Prime as well? We have both kits and a team of 6 kids, so being able to use both would be really helpful.

I should have worded my question differently- what I’m wanting to know is how are teams who are using both integrating both prime and essential into their team meetings…
