Please come to the Folsom Lake College event on January 24th, Saturday to find local teams and get resources to create a team.
This season is at the end, and it's a good time to start looking for a team or creating a team for the 2026/2027 season.
I created a team for my daughter for this season with her friends, and you would need to dedicate two adults (coaches) and supportive families.

Thank you for sharing — these are great suggestions, and it’s helpful for families to hear firsthand experiences.

One clarification for everyone following along: the current FIRST LEGO® League Explore season runs through April 2025, so there is still plenty of time for families to register a new team this season.

All FIRST LEGO® League Explore Festivals are open to the public, and everyone is welcome. The Folsom Lake College event on January 24 offers a great opportunity to see a FIRST LEGO® League Explore Festival in action and connect with the community - it is a great way for families to learn what the program looks like in practice. You can explore information about all of our other Explore Festivals and view our regularly updated event calendar here: https://www.playingatlearning.org/events/categories/fllexplore/

As mentioned, creating a team typically involves two adult coaches and 2–6 kids, along with their supportive families, and offers a hands-on, play-based introduction to STEM concepts, engineering habits of mind, and teamwork through LEGO® robotics, aligned with FIRST LEGO League Explore.

Thanks again for helping welcome and guide new families into the Explore community.
