Hello, everyone,

It’s wonderful to see so many families interested in joining an FLL Explore team!

While joining an existing team may seem like the easiest option, forming your own local team is often the most comfortable and practical choice—especially for families with younger children.

An FLL Explore team can start with as few as two children and include up to six. Many successful teams are formed with neighbors, classmates, friends, or families from the same school community. This gives parents the opportunity to build a team with people they already know and trust, while also making meeting locations, supervision, scheduling, and communication much easier.

You do not need any previous STEM, STEAM, robotics, or coaching experience to start a team. The program is designed to be accessible, and we are here to help you along the way.

Most teams meet more than 12 times during the season, so creating a team close to home can significantly reduce travel and make the experience more manageable and enjoyable for everyone.
