I don't think that I was as direct in my last communications as I needed to be as this question keeps coming up:

The FIRST data issue was resolved late Tuesday night and we have been able to update mylumi with updated FIRST partner data at least once/day since Tuesday night.  If your team information in mylumi does not match what is in your FIRST Team dashboard we have to wait for the data to propagate over to the FIRST partner data site.  It is not instantaneous as many of us expect.   And yes, we can only use the data provided by FIRST - sending us your information / screenshots  will not work.

Here is a quick high level summary of the Preference Registration outcomes:

A.  196 eligible* and paid teams received one of their preferences

B.  11 eligible* teams did not receive any of their preferences  (which could have been because they did not pay).  The summary that I have doesn't differentiate between paid vs not paid for the "Failed to get any preference" category.

C.  56 teams' preferences were deleted as the team was not eligible.

* An eligible team means that the team is ready to compete - ie their mylumi team status = Good.

What's next?

A. If your team was one of the 196 teams that received one of their preferences, you are done with registration.   You should have received an email from Lumieos/mylumi informing you for which event that you got out of your preferences.  You can also login to mylumi and see the event info there as well.

B. If your team was one of the 11 that did not get any of their preferences  - when General Registration opens tonight at 7pm you are welcome to go in and register.  Note that if you have not yet paid the regional registration fee, you will need to do that before you can register.

C. If your team was one of the 56 teams that had their preference deleted - once your mylumi team status shows Good, you can then pay, and then you can register during the General Registration period.

Common questions:

The most common question is: What is the deadline to complete General Registration.

Generally we would like to get registration closed in the coming week. Given how long it is taking some people to get their California AB506 requirements completed, marked on the team dashboard as completed and then available to the partner data site, that might be overly optimistic. Hopefully every team coach that is interested in participating in our qualifier season has at least gotten their fingerprints completed by now AND done their Mandated Reporting training, so it is just waiting on FIRST. We will likely need to close registration by mid-October in the absolute worst case. We will announce an exact day/time as we get closer to that time.

The second most common question is :  Will there be additional qualifiers confirmed?

And the answer is yes!   Hopefully soon, I will be able to announce 1 to 3 additional confirmed qualifiers - not sure that we will make the 7pm General Registration opening time though.

The third most common question is:   Can I change what event our team is registered in?

Short answer - no.   Longer answer - please review the published Change Policy for the one exception.

Finally we have nearly 600 teams - which means that more than half of our teams did not enter any preferences at all.

If you are interested in attending a qualifier tournamenttime is of the essence to get your FIRST  (and California) requirements completed, your roster complete and register into a qualifier tournament. If you have not watched the Coach Season Townhall recording - would recommend doing so as most rookie type of questions are addressed in that webinar.  The recording along with other team helpful resources is on the Team Resources page on the local website (norcalfllc.org).  Please reach out if you are still struggling after watching the webinar by emailing fll-ch...@playingatlearning.org

If you are interested in attending a Spring League tournament, start getting your FIRST (and California) requirements completed - we will start announcing Spring League tournament information in late October / early November with registration planned to open in early December.

Hopefully this helps - Jill  & Cecilia
