NorCal Innovation Expo on March 27, 2021.

Hello Teams, 

Congratulations for teams that were nominated to participate in the NorCal Innovation Expo on March 27. Please note that the event will be held remotely on Hopin and more details will be provided to individual teams soon. In the meantime, some relevant information include: 

1- Teams will present the project only, similar to a science fair. More details about the format and the schedule will be provided soon. 

2- To prepare, your team should continue working on their project and use the GIA Rubric as a guide for your presentation.

 

3- From the NorCal Innovation Expo, THREE teams will be nominated to apply to the Global Innovation Awards. Please know that nomination does not guarantee you a spot in the June event. Teams nominated must submit their project proposal online to be considered for the Global Innovation Awards.

4- Out of all of the regional winners,  FIRST will select 20 semi-finalists to attend a Global Innovation Award Expo in June 2021 to then select the overall winner and 2 runner ups.

5- Self-Nomination for NorCal Expo: Team can self-nominate by expressing interest in an email to f...@playingatlearning.org with your team number and team name and Innovation Expo Team Self Nomination in the email subject. Self-nominated teams will be added to the waitlist and as we have slots that open up,  we will notify the coach and move team off of waitlist. Deadline to self-nominate is March 5.
