1.  Spring League events - unfortunately it is taking ALOT longer for the groups that had reached out offering to host/organize Spring League events to get everything confirmed.  At this point, I am going to give them about a week longer and if the event is still not fully confirmed, then we will move forward without that event.  I know that this is way longer than expected but I would really like to not have to have every single Spring League event at our building in San Jose.

2.  Championships - Both the San Jose (March 2) and Palo Alto (March 9) Championships are fully confirmed.  We do expect that our Championship coaches are reviewing the information on the championship website to understand all of the requirements and communicating/sharing this information out to their team parents  (and team volunteers).   The deadline to complete these requirements is today and shortly I will start to look at waitlists to fill openings from teams that have not completed all requirements.

3.  A reminder since I am getting multiple emails and voicemails about this - the upcoming Championship events are open only to the teams that advanced by competing in the November Qualifier season. Teams advanced (or were the next advancing team to fill a waitlist) based on their overall Champion's rank which is an equal weighting of the robot game rank, plus the 3 judging area ranks.

4.  Finally, we really appreciate all of your support via the Target Circle Community Giving Program - we received 83,267 votes to Playing At Learning, awarding funds in the amount of $2,585.50 to Playing At Learning out of the $17,000 that was available.  Again, to everyone who voted for us, spread the word, and shared the love, thank you!   This is better than anticipated for our first time participating in this program.

5.  We are hiring!  Part time paid positions are available!  Please help spread the word among your friends and communities.

Regards,
Jill
