Three qualifiers have been added for preferences tonight :

Nov 15 Qualifier at The King's Academy in Sunnyvale

Nov 15 Qualifier at St Christopher School in San Jose

Nov 15 Qualifier at Mountain View HS in Mt View

You can freely update your preferences if this affects your choices.

Currently we have made it so all teams  (independent of current team status) can select their event preferences - however when the preference period closes, if the team status is not "Good" AND you have not yet paid the regional registration fee, then the preferences will be deleted and your team will need to register during the General Registration period.

As a reminder, there is no direct connection between your team dashboard and mylumi - and it can take up to 72 hours  (3 days) for a change that is made to your FIRST team dashboard to show up in the file that we can download (to then upload into mylumi).

IMPORTANT:  I have extended the tournament preference period through Monday night (9/29) and then General Registration will open on Wednesday (10/1) at 7pm. There are alot of coaches that tried to get their Overall California YPP Clearance requirements for AB506 completed in the last week and most are still pending.    Out of our nearly 600 teams only about 12% have gotten through this. Next download from the FIRST site will likely be Thursday night in mylumi (and then again likely on Monday morning).

And, yes, for those that continue to ask....  both Lead Coach 1 and Lead Coach 2 have to get fingerprinted - even if you have already done it for a different org/school - and yes, even if you are a teacher (see webpage linked above for why the California DOJ says that this is the way it must be).  FIRST is reporting that it can take up to 5 business days to get the team status updated on their side... and then up to 3 days for that information to propagate to the partner side and then a few days for Playing At Learning to be able to download it from FIRST and upload into mylumi.

Finally, we will have FIRST teams at both Saturday's Reid Hillview Airport (San Jose) Community Day and this weekend's Bay Area Maker Faire  (Vallejo) - stop by and say hi!

Jill
