Game 146: Cleanup Crew - Mission Debrief

May 3065 / Zhongshan, Lyran Alliance (Class B)

After a short but intense fight, three of the Falcon mechs lie ruined in front of the Duke’s palace and several others have been heavily damaged.  The remaining Falcon units execute a fighting withdrawal, using their superior speed to cover the slowest among them.  Once the area is secured you call for salvage teams and eagerly await their findings.

To your surprise, the salvage teams are accompanied by a limousine and guarded by elements of Periphery’s Finest, including the XO himself.  After a couple hours’ wait you receive instructions to enter the giant bunker underneath the palace and dismount there.  You find Miss Black waiting to greet you inside.  She has on a headset and is reviewing something on a tablet as you approach.

“Great news, mercenaries,” she begins, “the Falcon forces you engaged are confirmed to have retreated off-world, and we have some Clan salvage that we can claim from the units you defeated.  I’ll be leaving the division of salvage up to the company commanders while I debrief with Duke Hildebrandt zu Zhongshan and plan our next move.  You’re on standby until relieved by the XO.  Excellent work.”

Special - Claiming Salvage

In addition to whole units, there are some clan components that are available to salvage individually.  All players–even those that are out of command–may choose one (1) piece of clan equipment to salvage in their turn.  There is no cost to claim a component and you are not obligated to take anything.  The list of available salvaged units and components can be found at the bottom of the Arms Merchant tab in the spreadsheet.

Side note on this: I’m not sure if Clan double heat sinks can be used side by side with Inner Sphere double heat sinks or if you can only use one type in a unit and I don’t think I’ll have the time to look that one up.  If you can’t mix and match then they’re only useful to people who already have Clan units.
