Theft arrest at St. Charles and State St.

On Thursday December 10, 2009 Unit 204 was dispatched to State Street
and Saint Charles Avenue to investigate a complaint of a female
subject stealing Christmas decorations from the Saint Charles Avenue
Presbyterian Church. A citizen , who attends the church and was
driving by, detained a female subject until police arrived. The
suspect was attempting to leave in her vehicle with several Christmas
wreaths that were taken from the front doors of the church. The female
was identified as Bonita Thorton (B/F 9-14-1945) and was place under
arrest . The Christmas wreaths were returned to the church and
several other wreaths were located on the rear seat of her 2005 Gold
4dr Oldsmobile Rendezvous. Additional information on this arrest and/
