On Friday, December 4, 2009 at approximately 9:13 pm the victim was
sitting in her vehicle in the 3400 block of Saint Charles Avenue. At
that time an unknown suspect opened the door to her vehicle, grabbed
the victim and demanded her purse. The victim gave the suspect her
purse; he then fled on Louisiana Avenue towards South Claiborne.
Responding officers were able to apprehend Eric Stanberry, black male,
4-23-1968 who was arrested and charged with the offense. Additional
information on this arrest and/or subsequent prosecution can be
