Armed Robbery - 1600 Block of North Roman Street

On Monday, August 16, 2010 at approximately 6:10pm officers responded
to a report of an armed robbery in the
1600 block of North Roman Street. The victims stated they were on the
porch of their residence in the 1600 Block of North Roman Street when
they were approached by two unknown black males. The males asked to
use a cell phone. When the victims refused, one subject wearing a
white shirt and with a cornrow hairstyle pulled out a small 9mm
handgun and demanded money. The victims surrendered their wallets to
the perpetrators who then fled down the stairs and fired a shot in the
air at the bottom of the stairs.
The subjects fled up Norh Roman Street, then left on New Orleans
Street, then unknown.
Property Taken:
Victim1 - 1 wallet containing $170.00 in u.s. currency and one Mexican
national I.D.
Victim2 - 1 wallet containing $72.00 in u.s. currency and one
Louisiana I.D.
Description of perpetrators:
Subject # 1- C white shirt, blue jeans shorts, thin to medium build,
cornrow hair style
Height : 5 ft. 5 in. Weight : 185
Age Desc. : early 20s
