On August 14, 2010 members of the First District Task Force effected a
traffic stop after observing a traffic infraction. As the officers
travelled behind the vehicle the driver, began to make furtive
movements. As the officers approached the vehicle a strong odor
recognized to be that of marijunana was observed. The officers
ordered the occupants from the vehicle and found a bottle of codine
(liquid) on the floor board and a .40 cal. pistol in a white plastic
bag. The female was in possession of a small amout of marijuana,
which was located in her purse. The weapon was checked and there was
no record on file.
A check of the arrested male subject, Aristole Seals found he had been
arrsted three previous time for weapon possession non of which were
prosecuted.
