Arrests Made in Gentilly Armed Robbery - 11-08-2009

On Tuesday, October 6th, 2009 at around 5:30 P.M., an armed robbery
occurred in the 4500 block of New Orleans Street, during which the
victim was mowing his lawn, when he was surrounded by three subjects
who took his vehicle's keys at gunpoint. The subjects attempted to
start the victim's vehicle with the keys, but were unable to and fled
the scene on foot.

During the course of the investigation, Third District Detective
Robert Guesnon identified Paul Lewis (B/M 08-01-1989) and Kenneth
Thomas (B/M 12-26-1991) as two of the three perpetrators involved in
the incident and issued arrest warrants for the above offense. On
Sunday, November 8th, 2009, both suspects were arrested without
incident and charged in the above offense.
