For Netflix, the benefit is having a roster of audio localization partners with proper due diligence, including establishing a master service agreement, onboarding, vetting, testing, and training in Netflix workflows and applications. For the partners, being an NP3 allows them to work on Netflix-commissioned audio localization projects. In addition, they gain a Netflix "badge" which displays they've been through the process, access to engagement & training opportunities, regular communication, and marketing support.
Entrance of additional audio localization into the program is based on the business needs in each region. The NP3 program is currently not accepting new applications. If you have a question, you may message NP3-i...@netflix.com.
The focus on the NPFP program is content partner-commissioned licensed content workflows. Primary services of NPFP include project management and content partner onboarding, as well as media processing and conformance. Long answer: The Netflix End User License Agreement or Terms of Use, which you agreed to when you created an account, specifies that the account is "only for your personal, non-commercial use." Netflix is not alone here; Amazon Prime, Hulu, and other personal streaming vendors do not grant rights for institutional or educational use.
This is important because licenses overrule copyright exemptions. Showing your personal DVD during class is covered by a specific copyright exemption (Section 110), and showing clips can be covered by fair use (Section 107). However, streaming videos from personal subscription vendors in your classroom when the license prohibits such viewings? There is no copyright exemption for that and the situation is problematic.
As of 5/1/2024 (previous check 12/2023) the following titles are available for a one-time educational screening. You must have a personal Netflix account in order to show these titles in the classroom during a face-to-face traditional setting. Always double-check the details page for each title, before showing, to ensure that the Grant of Permission is still applicable. Films added after 2021 now have a link that says "Before screening this title, read the Educational Screening Permission (ESP)."
There is no easy way to search Netflix for a list of documentaries so unless you have a specific Netflix-owned title that you want to search, it can be difficult to browse media.netflix.com. That is why the list below is checked at least once a year. You might also find the supplied Google search to be helpful.
To find out which titles are available for educational screenings, visit media.netflix.com (link above) and search for the title or browse our recent and upcoming releases. Below, there is an incomplete list of documentaries that are covered by this educational screenings permission. Titles that are available for educational screening will display the following grant of permission on their details page:
"One-time screening" means that you can't hold screenings several times in one day or one week - but if, for example, you're an educator who wants to show these films or series once a semester over multiple semesters, that's okay.
Yes, passkeys are designed to replace passwords. You can think of passkeys as the evolution of passwords: instead of remembering (or writing down!) your complex passwords, a passkey is linked to your device (for example, your computer or your phone).
When you want to sign in to a website or application, your device acts like a magic key. No need to type anything, just use your device, and it works! Passkeys are like digital keys that make signing in easier and safer.
When you want to sign to the website or application, your device has to prove that it has the private key. After you unlock your private key, your device digitally signs a challenge from the website or application. The website or application verifies the signature using the public key and grants you access.
Yes, passkeys are considered a form of multi-factor authentication. When you use a passkey, you must use a device that stores the passkey (something you have) and unlock it with biographic information or a PIN (something you are, or something you know).
Yes, passkeys are phishing resistant. When they are created, passkeys are associated with the specific domain that the website or app are registered with. A passkey created for netflix.com can only be used with netflix.com. While a user can be tricked into landing on a similar looking website, they can't present their passkey to the malicious website. Their device won't allow it.
To link your devices together for cross device authentication, you must scan a QR code that's generated on the device where you want to sign in. During this process, a proximity check takes place to ensure that the passkey is only being used for authentication on a link device that's nearby. With this technology, you can rest assured that your passkey can't be used by a remote attacker to gain access from far away.
To take advantage of the latest passkey features, you must use Windows 11. To verify which version of Windows your device is running, open the Settings app Glyph Library: fluent Glyph Name: SettingsApp > System > About or use the following shortcut:
You might have to update your Windows device. To check that your device is up to date, open the Settings app > Update & Security > Windows Update and check the update status and available updates.
If your device is registered or managed by your organization (work or school), some passkeys options are unavailable. To check if your device is registered in your organization, open the Settings app > Accounts > Access work or school and verify if your device is connected.
