Ive just learned bootstrap and I'm excited to integrate bootstrap in my blogger. I'm using the free version of blogger, not using any custom domain. Then I realize that blogger is using xml with lots of tags, I'm confused to integrate the html I made with bootstrap, to that blogger version.

I've googled and read the article Using bootstrap twitter with google blogger, but it doesn't explain anything about the tags in blogger's xml body. Other google results are also not answering my confusion. How to build a blogger template and integrate it with bootstrap? Is it possible to have a sleek look of bootstrap without custom domain in blogger? Your answers, any tutorial link, tutorial video, and samples are highly appreciated :)

Better late than never, Yes, you can use bootstrap without custom domain in blogger. I'm using it in my blog and in building blogger templates. All you need to do is to use Bootstrap CDN links in the head then you can use bootstrap components and classes in the body and with divs. this is an example for using bootstrap with blogger templates.

I'd like to create a variable that let's you easily set a background image for the main content div, or perhaps even upload multiple background images to an array for randomized background images, etc.

The above code will let me use Template Designer UI to change the CSS for the body font and the color of the body text. These are the only two variable types I can define from scratch that I can get to appear in the Designer interface ("font" and "color"). I am trying to define an image selector instead. The interface currently lets you choose one background image using this variable:

The Blogger Template Designer is extremely basic and won't allow for you to have multiple upload opportunities. You will only be able to create one upload slot and this is reserved for the body background.I found this post extremely helpful with writing variables. As for your question on documentation of how to write a blogger template. I have been writing responsive Blogger templates for quite a while now and have written multiple tutorials on it, but I focus more on the responsive part than the variables. But if you still would want to have a look, maybe you find something helpful. link

I am a free user using the Quest theme. As a sole proprieter I don't need my facec plastered all over the site and would like to remove the Author modult on the bottom of the posts. Can someone help me do that easily? Thanks!

Unless you have a high subscriber count or plan to proactively encourage comments, I would turn off the comments to help shorten the page and focus more on your primary call to action for the post - just my opinion, but having an unused comment section doesn't look so good, but since you're using a facebook plugin maybe you have plans for this

For the spacing between the header and the title, it looks like this is being caused by the size of your logo in the header which is pushing it further down the page than the template is designed for.

My suggestion would be to either reduce the overall size of your logo, or even remove the quote bubble from the top and keep your brand name so it takes up less space, or use the quote bubble as an icon only - you could even look at changing it on scroll if the theme allows so that it switches from a smaller version of your full logo to just the icon on scroll.

There are actually a few other things I'd like to change, like the spacing between the header and the title. I have been a WP guy, but Hubspot is quite a bit diffferent when it comes to customizing....at least in a free theme. Thanks for weighing in!

It might be worth looking at some other free themes with blog templats to see if there is one with more flexibility and features that will work better with your brand and needs, even if it's just for your blog.

@zaugger it doesn't look like the typical HubSpot comments used in settings, so you might need to check the template or theme settings to see if there is an option to turn it off, otherwise, we can try hiding it too.

I'm sorry, if you're up for trying a new theme, Absolut by Kohorta is really nicely done with lots of options, I don't know if it will have all the features you want, but would be worth looking into as an option.
