I bought a couple of Cee 1.1's for use in an optoelectronics lab, and as teaching aids. The lab is automated with Labview, so my first job on the list was to get Labview talking to the Cee:

...I've had the board for less than 24 hours, so it's not very comprehensive yet, but the basic functionality is there. I hope the Cee will make a good stabilised laser diode driver, and it should also be useful for basic assessment of the diode we make. We'll see!

At the moment I'm using the Simple rest API, but I'd much prefer to talk to the device directly through the USB port, this should be possible in Labview.

The APIs could definitely be improved a lot, so I'd love to hear what you're looking for and what you thought of the existing API. Are you doing a single sweep of one variable and measuring the other, or are you looking to stream data continuously?

Here's our V-I curve trace app. It uses both channels together like an H-bridge to do a -5 to 5V effective sweep range.

I've been meaning to document the low-level USB protocol. If the firmware source and the driver in Connect aren't enough, I can write up something better (probably in the form of a well-commented minimal C program with libusb).
