is now open for the 2026 ArchivesSpace Virtual Member Forum!
Join us for the ArchivesSpace Virtual Member Forum, a free, community-driven, two-day online event spanning time zones and ArchivesSpace experience levels.

When: March 25 - 26, 2026

Where: All online via Zoom, with opportunities to join via computer or phone.

Who Can Attend: Anyone from an ArchivesSpace member organization is welcome to attend.
This is a free event, but registration is required. Registration is available to individuals from ArchivesSpace member institutions only.

Registrations for each session of the forum are separate.

Registration is required for each session.

You may register for as many sessions as you wish.

Registration links can be found at the beginning of each session’s agenda.

If you register for any session, you will receive connection information via Zoom.

Registering for one session guarantees a spot in that session only.

You must register for each session you plan to attend.

Today is the last day to
submit
your proposal for the ArchivesSpace 2026 Virtual Member Forum!
Taking place March 25-26, 2026, our
Virtual
Member Forum will be a two-day event spanning a variety of time zones and ArchivesSpace experience levels.
All users are encouraged to submit a proposal. We want the program to reflect the full spectrum of ArchivesSpace users – whether you are new to the platform, or a pro;
running a hosted instance, or locally administered; whether you are part of a large institution, or a lone arranger, let us hear from you.
The deadline to submit a proposal is today, Friday, February 27th.

The ArchivesSpace program team is working on a project to enhance ArchivesSpace support and documentation for
ISAD(G),
ISAAR
(CPF),
ISDF, and
ISDIAH-compliant
archival description as part of a broader effort to support users outside the U.S.
We are seeking your feedback on these mappings, particularly if you create ICA standards-compliant description:

Registration available: Overview of the ArchivesSpace application and membership benefits

ArchivesSpace is offering a 60-minute demonstration of the ArchivesSpace application open to anyone interested in ArchivesSpace or ArchivesSpace membership. This demonstration
will be offered on April 6, 2026 at 12:00pm EST.
This demo will feature an overview of the application, a brief explanation of the ArchivesSpace Staff and Public User Interfaces and an introduction to the
ArchivesSpace
member community and
member
benefits. A brief Q&A will follow the demo. These demos are intended to assist those who are considering using the ArchivesSpace application at their organization
to determine if ArchivesSpace is the right tool for their needs.

Announcing ArchivesSpace’s new Developer
|
|
|
|
We are happy to announce that Lora Woodford will soon be joining the ArchivesSpace team in the position of Developer.
In her position as Developer, Lora will work closely with the other members of the development team to implement priorities for the application established by the community
and help to manage the application’s underlying infrastructure. We are delighted that, with Lora on board, our full eight-person program team will be in place.
Lora will officially rejoin the ArchivesSpace team on March 16. Please join us in welcoming her back!

Member Match First Friday Events Ongoing
|
|
|
|
The Member Engagement Sub-team continues the Member Match First Friday Breaks, an monthly informal meeting
held on the first Friday of each month at 12:30pm-1:30pm/9:30am-10:30am PT.
This March 6th, the Member Engagement sub-team invites all Member Match participants to join us for an hour to discuss all things ArchivesSpace and beyond. This is an
opportunity for participants to meet other program participants outside their match and to interact with the team without an agenda. We will open the floor at the start of each First Friday for any and all ArchivesSpace questions. We are looking forward to
learning together as a group!
If you are a current Member Match participant interested in attending these sessions, please check the announcement in the member match listserv for connection information.
