Sure, some of us are more visible than others; sure, it makes sense to
highlight some talks which are likely to draw more enthusiasts to the
event. However, elevating and promoting one speaker just because s/he
has done more visible work or because the project s/he is working on is
sexier than the projects the rest of us work on is a complete no-no.
Please strive to ensure that all speakers are treated as equals and not
differentiated between in any way, regardless of their visibility or
"standing" within the community.

I'm sick of seeing conferences with "Star Speakers", "Rock Stars" and
"Keynote Speakers". We're a community (even if the individual molecules
of the community are in complete Brownian Motion), and it is neither
fair nor justified to lift some speakers over others on the basis of
their popularity.
