How about those that feel inclined, OWS affinity groups, non-violence group, others...- give support to this effort (99% Spring) because as we know- not everyone is ready for the ruff and tumble life of OWS. One can support two things at once, right? OWS clearly has it's work too!

99% Spring has given credit and respect to Occupy and now fills a needed role of getting a lot more of the 99% involved- NOW. They've gotten the solidarity with other organizations/unions.. That was an achievement that OWS wanted I believe. They are rolling, so in the interest of the whole- why not sign on with the other organizations and show solidarity?  I wonder what others think of this?

Can't see the harm.  My wife and I will probably do a training.

That's great, I meant this to go to Messaging and Organization- If it seems right can you share this idea with them/different groups- and talk it around.
I think it would be great for it to be a real gesture from OWS- And then the obvious question-> what about taking it to the GA??

FOR has allocated a number of staff to training and engagement with the 99%Spring initiative, pretty much on the premise advanced by Frank. Any way that we can bring people into active appreciation for nonviolence will be important to Occupy, NATO/G8, Interfaith Moral Action on Climate actions, and just in general.  Where we have found the 99% Spring narrative lacking (and not a particular strength of OCCUPY generally) has been on the issue of militarism and the relationship of the wars abroad to the consequences there and domestically. But we have found 99% Spring amenable to input on these issues as well. Peace, Mark

Mark:

We are including anti-militarism as part of the core messaging for the
upcoming actions in Chicago, around 5/17~21 http://99solidarity.net/chicago/
