Prime Minister Election

Per {Rule 308}, an election for Prime Minister is to be held next
turn. This turn, players may declare their candidacy for the election.
For now, do so by declaring so in a message to the public forum.

I hereby announce my candidacy for the position of Prime Minister. As
the only player still active with previous Executive experience*--I
held the office for three terms in Round 4--I am uniquely qualified to
handle this responsibility during the current round.

*I cannot confirm this claim, as election records from Round 2 seem to
be unavailable.

I'll run, and I have a long story to tell. I was part of an alliance
in a game a while ago. I ran in an election for the position of
Minister of Foreign Affairs. I approved of the incumbent and ran a
similar campaign. In the end, I voted for him and told others to do
the same. Over 100 people voted. He won by a lot, and I ended up
with 2 votes. The people who voted for me were big names who wanted
change. Later this man became our supreme leader, the Caliphate. Our
alliance lost the next big war, and I left. They eventually
disbanded. I don't know if I would have done any better, or if anyone
could have. He made smart choices at the time. But sometimes you
have to do something different. Don't settle for the status quo.

I realize that sounds totally out of place here, but I just wanted to
spread some general wisdom. Always look for more.
