With the appeal of {Case 6005} failing to overturn the ruling of true,
Round 9 of Nomicron has ended per {Rule 211} because it is impossible
to determine player point totals with regard to the effects of {Rule
306}. According to {Rule 211}, the winners of the round are "the
player(s) who created the paradoxical situation by actions other than
voting and the player who submitted the RFJ describing that
situation". Looney created the situation with the specific amendment
{Rule 306.2}, and Jef submitted the RFJ, so both are the winners of
Round 9 of Nomicron.

Correction: Metaloop and Looney are the winners of Round 9, as ruled
in {Case 6006} that the round has ended by paradox. The case indicates
that {Case 6005} was not able to end the round since it did not
explicitly state in the statement to be judged that a paradox has
occurred. Instead, {Case 6006} ends the round, with Metaloop as the
player who submitted the RFJ. It is my belief that Looney is still the
creator of the paradoxical situation... although Jef's RFJ makes it
explicit that {Rule 306} creates an impossible-to-determine situation,
he did not in fact "create the situation" as required by {Rule 211} to
be considered a winner.

Congrats, Metaloop and Looney!

Technically, the round wouldn't end for two more turns. Since the
ruling for Case 6006 was submitted during the interim, we still have
Turn 16 and 17 to appeal it. However, I'll ignore this little fact if
everyone else will as well. I want to get to the next round.

Yeah. And even if we start the convention now it will take at least
two weeks for the next round to start due to the two staged convention
ending mechanism (close the floor, start next round). Is there any big
reason why we shouldn't start the round straight from open convention?
