Motion:

Make the title of Round 9 "Nomicron Crescent".

(Think Mornington Crescent.)

Must be a British thing?

By the way, the motion to make Physics a player passed unanimously of
course. The motion to make Oenone a player is still open until
tomorrow. I'll update the convention page when I get a chance later.

To vote on any motions, just send your vote to the list or update the
wiki page with your vote:

To be honest I never played the game, but it seems a very Nomicy game.

From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mornington_Crescent_%28game%29

"The game is intended as a parody of complicated strategy games, and
particularly satirises the complex rules and terminology that evolve
around games such as contract bridge or chess."

Hmm, complex rules, what does that remind you of? :D

Yes, but any attempt to implement Mornington Crescent on Nomicron would
be bad. Especially considering how few of us know our way around the
London Underground. I'm going to have to vote against this one.

Not to try to change your mind, but there is no reason to stick to
Mornington Crescent. This is Nomic afterall, what a round starts with
and what it ends up with are usually entirely unrelated ;).

I will vote for this motion. We can run a mornington Crescent type
game without having it based upon the London underground.

I'll have to vote against this. I have nothing against Mornington
Crescent. In fact, I find it interesting. But I don't think we'll be
able to make anything playable with this theme while still being able
to add rules. I just can't see this going very far as a nomic.

I'll pass on "Nomicron Crescent", unless it were "Nomicron Crescent
Fresh".
There was quite an incredible Mornington Crescent Nomic that developed
an impressively playable board game. Kevan was involved.
